(Article was saturated with affectionate bias and riddled with fanon presumption. Several claims, such as the character's made-up first name ("Armando"), have absolutely no presence in canon and are unverifiable. This false lore has been removed.)

In terms of quests Rodriguez does not send you to do his bidding, but rather offers advice and warning. Though other Anarchs will ask favors of you, Nines simply exists as a friend. Later, you will be asked to meet Nines in the forest where the both of you will be attacked by werewolves. While the player must use the observatory doors to kill the werewolf or wait until the tram arrives, Nines fought and tore the head off the Werewolf that attacked him with (presumably) his bare hands and/or hand grenade, which is a rare feat as a single Werewolf has been known to kill groups of Vampires. When siding with the Anarchs, you will be asked to meet him at a motel where you find in him bloodied and torn along with a werewolf head. In the Lone Wolf ending, Nines and two other Anarchs will meet up with the player, only to be coldly shunned via the player's middle finger.

Biography

Rich bastards screwed the country- but did they suffer? No, the little people suffered
  — Nines Rodriguez

Nines is the most ascendant anarch in LA in the modern nights. He is the main reason of lots of young kindred joining the Anarch Movement. Nines survived a sireless origin and he managed to survive on his own and he has no tolerance by innocents getting hurt by the authorities; the fervor originated from his Kine days during the Great Depression, where he blamed those of power and wealth for taking advantage of the disenfranchised.

He can be found in the Downtown bar the Last Round. If asked about his leadership over the Anarchs, he will react harshly and deflect the implication he has attained authority status.

It's hinted by Maximillian Strauss that, were it not for his stated political affiliations, Rodriguez would be a useful ally of the Camarilla (possibly because of his social influence and performance as a recruiter).

Malkavians refer to Nines as "he of the numbered name." He states a preference for firearms, but will train the player in hand-to-hand combat if certain conditions are met.

Game notes

Rodriguez is not a quest-giver, but rather offers advice and warning. In late-game play, Nines (presumably) defeats a werewolf single-handedly, a rare feat (as solitary werewolves have been known to kill groups of Kindred).

In the Lone Wolf ending, Nines will meet up with and attempt to recruit the player to the Anarch cause, only to be coldly shunned via the player's middle finger.
