Alypius was a Brujah scholar of fame during the Dark Ages.

Biography[]

Alypius was a scholar and philosopher, dedicating much of his time to the ideals of [Brujah], in which he saw a system that allowed mortals and vampires to coexist openly. He also attached more weight to the loss of Hellas than Carthage, believing that this was the time of the betrayal of Troile against [Brujah] and the beginning of their modern Clan Curse.

While he was not born during the time of Carthage, Alypius made himself a name as a historian of the era. He treated stories of Brujah collaboration with the Baali as slander against his clan. Seeking the truth, he and the Cappadocian Pietro Caetani, traveled to the ruins of the city and began a series of archaeological excavation. In their efforts, the pair awakened an ancient Brujah elder from torpor, who devoured Pietro and told Alypius the truth about the Carthaginian capital: there had been indeed Baali within the city, and the Brujah had cooperated with them out of their own volition. Not only that, but six elders of the clan had sworn themselves to to the demon known as Baal Haman.

As the elder faced the sun to atone for the crimes of Carthage, Alypius prepared to travel to Greece in order to present his findings to the Praedicanda.
