Alison Hersly (Rabbitkeeper377) is a Bystander, first introduced by name in the Hunter Players Guide.
Alison was married with a teenaged son named Bobby when she was almost Imbued. A female vampire wearing a torn flannel shirt broke into her house and embraced Alison's husband, Richard, while Alison and Bobby were tied up in the garage. There was a moment when knew she could use Edges to kill them, but she was paralyzed with fear and couldn't bring herself to hurt her husband. She became a Bystander.
At first, Richard reacted to his new unlife with horror and trauma, but eventually he became increasingly controlling and abusive towards Alison and Bobby. Alison spent enormous amounts of time procuring rabbits for Richard to feed on, but when something wasn't done exactly right, Richard often fed on her anyway. She began lurking on hunter-net as a way to cope with what her life had become.
When their home was robbed during the day, Richard bought a gun, and Alison used it to murder him. On the advice of hunter-net posters, she cleaned up the body and buried it in the pasture behind their house. Eventually, Alison decided to sell the house entirely to get away from the memories, though it meant moving in with Richard's mother. She told her that Richard died in a car accident.
Some others on hunter-net don't believe that Rabbitkeeper actually lived with a vampire for months, especially without the powers of a real Hunter to keep her alive. She complains about the degree of infighting between posters, when they clearly have a common enemy to deal with.
