Addis Ababa is the capital city of Ethiopia. It became a centre of commerce in Africa following the nation's transformation into "Africa's breadbasket" as part of Operation Eden.
On official completion of the terraforming project on May 22, 2006 (2004 according to some sources), the Ethiopian government gave a large area of land on the city's southern edge to Project Utopia in gratitude for their aid in terraforming and stabilising their country. Utopia built a new headquarters for Team Tomorrow there, making it the base of operations for Team Tomorrow Central in 2007, with Team Tomorrow Europe taking over the old site in Venice.
Addis Ababa is also home to one of the main "facilities" of Project Proteus, which housed a number of significant Novas including Antaeus.
