Abdul Rahmann is the Ashirra Malak of Saudi Arabia. He is an El Hijazi of unknown generation who rules Riyadh as his own independent domain, among the other Arabian provinces.
Biography[]
With the rise of the Ottoman Empire, Abdul Rahmann was already a prominent Ottoman Hijazi who had embraced Islam. He approached an influential Hajj known as Tarique, and they drew up an accord that allowed the Ottomans to gain control of Western Arabia through the port of Jeddah. Secretly, however, Mecca and Medina remained under Tarique's guidance, while the desert tribes rested under the dominion of the Wah'Sheen methuselah Zayyat.
Tarique, Rahmann, and Zayyat would join forces once again during the last half of the 19th century, at the height of European colonialism, to protect Arabia against outside corruption. To this end, Rahmann supported the Saud tribe in their grab for power and with the help of his allies, worked tirelessly to build Saudi Arabia as a nation, preventing many power-hungry European Kindred from claiming power in the region.
Abdul Rahmann is a quiet Ashirra who holds a great deal of power and commands the respect of most people he meets. With growing concern over the weak rule of his childe, Shaykhe Muhammad, over the eastern province of Saudi Arabia, Rahmann has grown more withdrawn and sullen over the inevitable decision that he will be forced to make.
