- Eme Amun Hassan loses her husband and her two sons to a suicide cult. As a response, she founds Habibti Ma, a group dedicated to the reintegration of former Cult members into society.[1]
- A ghoul archaeologist rediscovers the "Initiations of Dream and Flame" in a hidden crypt in Abusir. The ghoul's regnant searches for aid in translating it.[2]
- 1997-1998: Mulhithim spawned by the Hale-Bopp Comet harass the Forsaken.[3]
April[]
- April 10: The Good Friday agreement allows Northern Ireland to vote for its independence. The vote ends in favour of remaining part of the United Kingdom.[4]
May[]
- The Lodge of the Lost Cause confront and defeat the Great Darkness in Baluchistan. Kate "Majestic" Carson leads the successful battle, but only thirteen members of the lodge survive the carnage, and they have lost their futures.[5]
