- In Baja, Ace launches his cobbled-together hot-rod, La Fuente del Ritmo, and it accelerates through time and space until it arrives in Florida in 2003. When he returns, he experiences a radical personality shift and shuns the streets for the class, applying himself wholeheartedly to his studies.[13][14]
- Recently-Awakened Leland Chin is brought in by the UFO contactees who founded the First Church of the Unidentified Flying Object, initiated into their Olympian mysteries, and groomed for leadership. The experience divorces Chin's mind from reality, turning him into a Marauder.[15]
