- 1975-1990: The Lebanese Civil War begins when Palestinian forces back Muslim militias to overthrow the Christian, pro-western government.[2]
- Raymond Moody, known for his research into the afterlife and near-death experiences (a term he originated), writes Life After Life.[3]
- Alvin Locke is born.[4]
- Sandeep D'Souza earns his Ph.D. in History from Columbia University (New York). He becomes Assistant Professor of Asian History and Sanskrit for this school year.[5]
- Two FBI agents are murdered while on agency business in South Dakota. Despite flimsy evidence, Native American Leonard Peltier is arrested for the crime.[6]
- Kelly Anne Walker is born.[7]
- New World Order judiciary Sebastian Tallow declares that a defendant be allowed to prove her loyalty, and requests his wife Patricia Zevis create the Retinal Encoding Organism.[8]
- Cambodia's Khmer Rouge topples Lon Nol's military government.[9]
- By this time, more than half of all Baruti are ethnograhers, authors of historical fiction, or creators of American comics or Japanese manga.[10]
- Janet Wolf is born.[11]
- Thomas Houston and his unit from Vietnam join the fray, fighting aliens.[12]
- The Maori start working very effectively at regaining control over their native lands.[13]
- Mark Hallward Gillan follows in his father's footsteps and joins the US Army. He also gains an interest in Aleister Crowley's Golden Dawn.[14]
April[]
- The Second Indochina War ends. North Vietnamese troops seize Saigon. The Pathet Lao begins to eliminate opponents and moderates.[9][15]
December[]
- December 2: The Accordance War ends, creating the feudal realm of Concordia.[16]
