- Ed and Lorraine Warren create the New England Society for Psychic Research to investigate hauntings.[1]
- Cecily Banashefski is born in Pinewood, Minnesota.[2]
- Shukri Lightning-on-the-Dunes, a Glass Walker Theurge, leads a number of Garou in attacks against the vampires of Egypt during the social and political chaos of Egypt's quest for independence. When he leads his forces (minus his cousin Youssef, who had died in one of the attacks in Cairo) into Alexandria, they were overwhelmed, captured (or killed) by the vampires, and then tortured – presumably for information. About 20 Garou died in this event.[3]
- Magadon Limited makes its first outside acquisition: Panflex Incorporated.[4]
- The Caitiff known as Cecil is embraced in this year by an unknown sire.[5]
- The 54th Council of the Council of Nine meets in Horizon. Most Council Members attend. Tension is high and morale seems low.[6][7]
- Lucian Dark bani Shaea is born.[8]
- Sebaye Leblanc's talents come to the notice of the Euthanatos, who induct him into the Knights of Radamanthys.[9]
- Hollower Benjamin Fortune decides to give up the life of a hobo once he sees a travelling circus.[10]

- January 26: The Black Saturday. The Cairene police mutineers against the British, after students and the Muslim brotherhood had begun a guerilla war against them before. They are aided by Garou under the leadership of Shukri Lightning-on-the-Dunes.[11]
