- 1939-1945: World War II. The Zmei Gregornous awakens in Russia at some point during the War.[1][2] The Garou Teiresias is blinded by Nazi tormentors.[3]Nephandic influence is on the rise throughout.[4][5][6][7] The Sept of Fafnir's Brood is founded during the war.[8]
- 1941-1943: Siege of Leningrad. Anton Nordenskald fights the Germans. [9]
- February 23: Glass Walker foundry worker Han "Skin O' Steel" Jankins, forced to work in a Nazi arms factory, calls upon the spirit of Clashing Boom-Boom to divert an Allied squadron out of its designated flight path to bomb the factory just as a Nazi Get of Fenris pack comes for a visit]].[10]
- Jeremy MacNeil, a Brujah exile, arrives in Los Angeles and befriends Toreador Christopher Houghton.[11][12]
- Allied Forces again drop bombs on Aix-du-Chapelle, while Ikkenai leaves the city. The Octagon's magical protection saves the city from complete destruction.[13]
- Around this time the vampire Stalest Coursain arrives in the Vancouver area.[14]
- Shukri Lightning-on-the-Dunes disappears into the Western Desert after discovering some interesting artifacts.[15]
- Wungala Rose's mother Bulangu is killed by her own brother in a drunken rage; shortly after, Wungala (a homid Philodox of the Black Furies) is found and taken away by Garou.[16]
- Klaus Hortemone is born into a Swiss noble house.[17]
- The spring issue of Paradigma contains "Chapter XX: Final Gambit" of Doc Eon's adventures, transcribed by Joe "Lucky Skunk" Ross.[18] It also contains a note from Doctor Orbital, who bemoans that many members of the Sons of Ether have joined the Nazis in the war.[19]
- The 53rd Council of the Council of Nine meets in Horizon.[20] To the outrage of many, Hermetic Master Getulio Vargas Sao Cristavao takes the Seat of Forces, representing the Order of Hermes on the Council of Nine, replacing Master Liao Xaoxequin.[21][22] The War causes great division in Horizon's ranks.[4]
- B.R. Elsenwoods' Walking Hawk and the Iroquois Nation is published by Granadine Press.[23]
- Jermyn Talbot takes a position as instructor of Latin at the School of St. Anne-on-the-Hill, Oxford, England.[24]
- A Swiss Hermium alchemist, Dr. Albert Hoffman, discovers LSD.[25]
- The Technocratic Union and Council of Nine Mystic Traditions form a coalition to defeat Nephandic influence on the Nazi side of the War. Together, they defeat the Thule Society, Midnight Wolves, and Shadowed Sun Society, and disrupt a huge Nephandic summoning at Berkenschoss, a German castle near the Black Forest. What some say is the greatest Paradox storm in history obliterates the fortress and several surrounding towns.[26][27]
- Pharmacopeist Dr. L. Keogh develops Staticorpidrin, or "Stasis", a drug which helps halt the ageing process.[28]
- Sekaye Leblanc Awakens.[29]
- Lieutenant Oscar Martin leverages his physics degree and military training into a position with the Corps of Engineers.[30]
- The Matter Transmission Portal is first created in Philadelphia by the Sons of Ether.[31]
- Luc Seydoux detonates the Cathedral of Porte d'Noir. The structure is transferred into the Labyrinth, where it will be known as the Engulfed Cathedral and become a major gathering point for Spectres. [32]

- August 12: The USS Eldridge vanishes from Philadelphia Harbor. It won't appear again for another forty years.[33]
