- Joseph Herlech, an archaeologist, leads an expedition into the Amazon rainforest in search of the city of El Dorado, prompted by manipulations of his dreams by the mage El Dorado. His force of will forged a path from the physical world to the Dorado Realm, which had been utterly separated from the Realm and drifted to become wholly isolated in the Umbra. After finding El Dorado, he will never leave, as the mage and other inhabitants cannot allow him to leave, lest he speak of his finds and alert their enemies.[4][5]
- Debate on arithmosophy and probability magick among Hermetics leads to the creation and acceptance of House Fortunae.[6][7]
