Chronicles of Darkness: 1900s |
The twentieth century in the Chronicles of Darkness setting.
Events[]
Early 1900s[]
- The Great Convocation of Europe ratifies the newly minted Free Council as an allied Order, forming the Pentacle[1]. The rest of the world follows suit.
- Cryptocrat Henry Greene sets up a model settlement on the future site of Milton Keynes to experiment with new forms of governance.[2]
- The Garduna is one of the original Free Companies, dating back to the Articles. The faction vanished for the first half of the 20th century and it’s not clear whether or not the sect’s returned or mages are reviving the storied name.[3]
- In the early years of the 20th century, an alternate philosophy sprang up. Gemini, a Pentacle mage who had been a member of the proto-Free Council prior to the Great Refusal, defected to the Seers of the Throne after they approached his cabal and offered wealth and power.[4]
- The Illumined Path adopted its name and a formal set of precepts in the early 20th century.[5]
Mid 1900s[]
- Hafnarhúsið is established in Reykjavík as a permanent headquarters for the Council of Elves.[6]
- An increase in tourism in Ipswitch, Massachusetts bring an influx of new changelings to Hard-a-Lee.[7]
- In the 1960s, the Seer Ministry of Geryon finally falls, when the Scelestus Angrboda throws the Tetrarch into the Abyss[8].
