Events

  • 1645-1800s: While Doissetep is preoccupied with internal intrigues, most Hermetic mages retreat to sanctuaries in this world and beyond.[1]
  • The Second Edition of The Theophanies' English translation is printed for new Choristers.[2][3]

June

  • June 14: The Fall. Battle of Naseby, England. Victory for Oliver Cromwell's "Ironsides" (Order of Reason) over Cavalier forces of Charles I. In desperation, Charles hires mages to fight on his side. Due to lack of preparation and poor planning, mages let loose many spells later classified as vulgar before hordes of witnesses. First known appearance of Paradox consumes them all. Two Hermetic Houses are nearly destroyed, and subsumed into House Ex Miscellanea.[1]
