Events[]
- The fourth official meeting of the Camarilla's Inner Circle.[1]
- "De Revolutionibus Orbium Caolestium" ("On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres"), Nicolaus Copernicus' treatise on the motion of the solar system is published. In it, he proposes that the Sun and planets do not revolve around the Earth, but rather that the Earth and planets revolve around the Sun.[2][3][4][5] This establishes the heliocentric model of the universe in the Consensus,[6][7], proving Aristotle wrong. The Pupils of Parmenides and the Chœur Céleste are devastated.[8] Whether this theory simply observed the extant universe or actually changed consensus reality remains a hotly debated topic.[9][10]
- Note: A number of Mage sources erroneously place this event in 1453 rather than 1543[2][6][8][3][7][9][10], likely due to a simple typographical error. This mistake was eventually corrected in later books, which confirmed that the event occurred in the same century in the World of Darkness as it did in the real world.[3][4][5]
