- Assamite elders sue for peace to end the Camarilla's Blood Hunt of the clan. The result is the Treaty of Tyre: the Camarilla call off the hunt, and the Assamites agree to be cursed by the Tremere so that they can no longer commit diablerie. [1][2]
- Note that some sources date the Treaty to 1493, the year of the Convention of Thorns.
- After the signature of the Treaty of Tyre, the Eldest Sha'hiri committed ritual suicide to expiate his shame. Jamal, then the oldest active fourth generation childe of Haqim, assumed the Black Throne in this year.[2], note that Clanbook Assamite Revised states on p.95 that Jamal became the Eldest a year later
- The Traditions discover the Inventium and, determined to aid in its protection and documentation, send representatives to join the Historia.[3]
