- 1455-1487: The Wars of the Roses between the houses of York and Lancaster, both contenders to the English throne.[1]
- Master Baldric LaSalle offers a compromise: that each Tradition lays claim to authority within a single Sphere. This means that Hermetics will be forced to share a single Sphere, Forces, so for administrative purposes the Houses of Hermes agree to formal consolidation as a single Order.[2]
- Nicodemus Mulhouse begins the Horizon Chronicle.[3]
- Prior to the founding of the Traditions, the Ahl-i-Batin have a series of meetings in Sihr Maqamut on the slopes of Jebel Qaf.[4]
June[]
- June 21: The Resolutions of Intent that form the Council of Nine Mystick Traditions are passed in Horizon Council chambers. Council of Nine becomes official.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][2][17][18] Generic titles and ranks are standardized.[19][20][21][22] Traditions and their Primi include[23][11]:
- Ahl-i-Batin (Batini), represented by Ali-beh-shaar[24]
- Akashic Brotherhood, represented by Wu Jin (assisted by Cheng Sa)[25]
- Chakravanti (Euthanatoi), represented by Chalech (founded)
- Chœur Céleste, represented by Valoran[26][27]
- Dream-speakers, represented by Star-of-Eagles[28][29] (founded)
- Order of Hermes, represented by Magister Baldric LaSalle
- Seers of Chronos (Sahajiya), represented by Sh'zar the Seer
- Solificati, represented by Diplomate Luis de Estes[30]
- Verbenae, represented by Nightshade of Harrogate
- Signing of the Protocols, the guiding rules of the Traditions.[13]
- March of the Nine. Council passes Compact of Callias, which encourages inter-Tradition cabals. To celebrate (and test) the Compact, the Council signs the First Amendment to the Protocols[13], appointing nine representatives as emissaries, enforcers and comrades. This "First Cabal" stands as a testament to the solidarity of the Council and their future goodwill. From Horizon, they travel the world, spreading many legends of their deeds.[23][11][17][2] They are:
