- Gilles de Rais arrested and executed. Chateau de Rais becomes powerful Infernal Cray.[2][3]
- End of the Long Red Night. Trouble along the Silk Road leads to new conflict between Akashic Brotherhood and Hindu death-mysticks. Fearing new Himalayan Wars, both sides withdraw.[4]
- Burning of Baerwald. Cabal of Pure Thought destroys Baerwald. Pagan survivors swear vengeance. Open war breaks out along Black Forest.[4][5]
- Fall Breeze is born.[6]
- Cosimo de Medici reopens the Platonic Academy of Florence.[7]
- January 1: First Mistridge Convocation. Sh'zar, Valoran, Nightshade and Baldric La Salle meet for the first time in the ruins of Mistridge, attended by retainers and fae allies. After long discussion, they decide to form a grand Council of Traditions, then depart to recruit others.[4][8][9][10][11][12][3][5][13]
- May 1: Consummating their alliance in a Great Rite, Nightshade and William Groth become the founders of the Verbenae.[14][15][13][16]
1441[]
- Mistridge attendees scatter. Nightshade journeys alone to the Americas through the Paths of the Wyck. Sh'zar, Valoran, and Baldric La Salle spread word from northern Europe to Middle East to Asia.[4]
- Seeking the cause of the plagues, shamanness Naioba (daughter of Kola'a Ti) stalks the white ghost through the Mo-Mo Keu dreamlands. There she encounters Star-of-Eagles. Both are nearly slain by the white dream-ghost. Later, she meets Sh'zar and Ali-beh-shaar; seeking an end to plague, she decides to join their Convocation. With her father's help, she strikes a truce between Madzimbabwe, Ngoma and other sects.[4]
- Portuguese voyages to the western coast of Africa reintroduce the slave trade to Europe.[17]
1442[]
- End of Wyndgarde's March. Christopher Wyndgarde sweeps Britain until an ambush outside Newry, Ireland, leaves his forces frozen solid. He dies at Nightshade's hands.[2][5]

1445[]
- The Council of Basel-Ferrata-Florence under Pope Eugenius IV is held, which fails to reunificate the Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches. Dissent within the Catholic Church over the role of the advising cardinals leads to the short-lived appointment of Felix V as rival pope, although he has to quickly stand down.[20]
- Wallachians led by Hunyadi win major victories. Janos Hunyadi overcomes the opposition of the Hungarian nobility and is chosen as “governor of Hungary.” He is considered the “true ruler of the Hungarian kingdom.”[21]
- The eighth meeting of the Order of Reason's Inner Circle, advancing the Time Table.[22][23]
- Lodge Wars of Tuscany end. Various guilds claiming to be "true Masons" have fought throughout northern Italy. Some possess Solificati secrets, Hermetic ties or Craftmason affiliations, but most are simply mortal guilds. Diplomat Luis takes charge of several feuding guilds and resurrects the Solificati under Hermetic patronage.[2][24]
