- The Methuselah Inanna and her ally Alvarez Giovanni attempt to destroy the powerful Nosferatu Angiwar but fail.
- Alvarez is destroyed by Angiwar's dark creatures.
1160 AD[]
- Zurenzialle of House Merinita disappears. Evidence left in his laboratory proves he was an elf from Faerie passing as a human. No one knows his motivations.[1]
- The Kitab al Alacir resurfaces in Moorish Spain.[2][3][4]
1162 AD[]
- Gesu sends Thomas Feroux to kill Zubor. Zubor embraces Bodor Toth but is captured before he can exploit his new childe's resources. Koban tortures him for months before he meets the Final Death, and Zubor places a curse on him. [5]
1163 AD[]
- The Duchies of Silesia, Opol and Ratibor become imperial fiefs of the German Empire.[6]
- The 1301st Year of Aries: A Grand Tribunal is held.[7]

- Prester John sends a letter to the Holy Roman Emperor and the Byzantine Emperor, claiming to rule a kingdom full of marvels.[9]
1166 AD[]
- Ireland's High King Rory O'Connor exiles Dermot MacMurrough, King of Leinster.[10]
- Llorenç, later the priest of Javielle, is born.[11]
1167 AD[]
- Copenhagen, Denmark is founded by Archbishop Absalon of Lund, chief minister to the king.[12]
- The Tremere employ a variation of the ritual that was used to turn them all into Cainites upon a captured Nosferatu and Gangrel, adding quantities of magical earth. The resultant creature is the first Gargoyle. Two more are later created from the fusion of Tzimisce and Gangrel, and from a Tzimisce and Nosferatu.[13][14][15]
- Christof Romuald is born around this time.[16]
1168 AD[]
- Eleanor of Aquitaine founds a "Court of Love" in Poitiers. The concept becomes popular among the Toreador, who create their own "Courts of Love".[17]
- A young hunter of the Tenochca people in modern Mexico finds a cave where an ancient being sleeps. In exchange for blood, the creature tells the hunter where they can find a plentiful land. The Tenochca reaches a fertile valley where they will build a great city called Tenochtitlan.[18]
1169 AD[]
- Kiev is sacked bY the Prince of Suzdalia.[19]
- Irish Fianna and Silver Fangs reach an accord as to Ireland itself; the Silver Fangs swear that they shall take no caerns in Ireland, and in return the Fianna would stay out of the way of the Silver Fangs' Norman Kinfolk.[20][21][22]
