- The Ventrue Methuselah Erik Eigermann is struck down by the demon hunter Karl Schreckt. Eigermann falls into Torpor under what will become Berlin.[1]
- The Council of Sens condemned Abelard for his heretical teachings.[2]

- Christof Romuald is Embraced into Clan Brujah by Ecaterina the Wise.[3]

- Helena embraces Melinda Galbraith.[6]
- Emperor Komnenos John II Komnenos is assassinated by Shabah.[7]
- The foundation of the Order of Avis in Portugal.[8]

- The Saracens attack and conquer the County of Edessa, precipitating the disastrous Second Crusade.[9]
- The Pomegranate Deme form the Knights of Nyssa to serve as cover and protection of the chthonic cults of Greece and Persia.[10]
1145 CE[]
- Bernard de Clairveaux visits Languedoc. He is deeply disturbed by the open heresy of its locals and even more disturbed when he discovers dark creatures that live among them.[11]
- Falk of Maastricht, a knight, is embraced in Aix-la-Chapelle by an unknown Ventrue.[12]
1147 CE[]
- The Second Crusade begins. This crusade is split between one for Jerusalem and for the Baltic (called the Wendish Crusade).[13]
1148 CE[]

1149 CE[]
- The army of the Second Crusade returns defeated to Aix-la-Chapelle, bringing a false grail to the city.[12]
- Aix-la-Chapelle's cainites flourish until late fall, when Nikolai of Tresckow meets his Final Death during a battle with the Messianic Voices. Following the battle the leader of the Voices, Benedict of Cluny, disappears without a trace.[12]
